Logo
My logo is better than the existing logo because first of all, all my letters are uniform, which gives the logo a feeling of unity and sleekness. Next, mine has a swoosh type thing on the top, which helps determine the curve of the text, with it being larger in the beginning, which in turn makes the logo more uniform and futuristic looking. The font that I use in my logo is also better than the font that the original is in, as it has more of a feeling of unity while maintaining the technological aspect that shows the quality of product. Additionally, my logo has a slogan, that both makes the brand more memorable, and desirable, as it associates canon with new technology.

2.Color
my 4 colors are R255G255B255, R128G128B128, R64G64B64, and R0G0B0
I selected these colors because to make a sleek futuristic logo, only black and shades of grey will need to be used, because color will only take away from the sleekness of the font, and will not be as easy to make it look glossy and sharp. The reason I selected these particular shades of grey is because they are all halved values of each other, which means that each grey is exactly twice as light as the previous grey. This will make the logos aesthetics look much more sleek and visually pleasing.
1. Characteristics

6.Pitch
With a redesign of this company by appealing to a younger age group by associating the products with power and popularity at group events by photographing it, the company will be more profitable, as with a larger buyer base that's more likely to buy canon products, we will be tapping into a previously untouched demographic sector, and with more products being sold, profits will increase.
5.Rebrand Demographic
The market demographic for my chosen company is young adults, age 15-25. A popular other brand that caters to this demographic is Apple. They are successful in marketing to this age group by making their products desirable via sleek looks, powerful devices, and associating their products with popularity.
4.Good brand
A good brand that fully appeals to its target market is Activision Blizzard, better known as just Blizzard, which is the company that made the world of Warcraft series, Starcraft series, and Diablo series. They are a game development firm that markets to young adult gamers, mostly ages 13-30. The agency that is responsible for the brand is Activision Publishing Inc., which is a company that markets lots of modern games, including the call of duty series, various sega games, and Blizzards.
5 examples of this brand in use are, 1.Battle.net-an online server that includes all of their games that enables friends to contact each other no matter what blizzard game they're playing. 2.The game packaging-All their game packages have their logo in massive letters, and includes free trials for all their other games.
3.Using their logo and various game characters in gaming stores 4. References to their games in other games-for example, having lots of characters from their world of Warcraft series appear in the Starcraft games. 5. Always releasing information for the games a very large amount of time in advance for every single game release to get their fan base excited for the games for when they finally come out.
Their branding is very successful for many reasons. Their very large fan base leads to many games being sold by word of mouth. Since all their games are similar and interconnected, many people who have 1 blizzard game will buy another. Another advantage of having all the games interconnected is that friends will tell other friends through the battle.net network about how good the game they're playing is. Since they are a very well known company, their products displayed in stores will be more likely bought. Blizzard has been making games for a really long time, and since many high quality games are associated with them, customers will be more likely to buy blizzard products.

3. Rebrand Personality
To attract a wider range of customers, the brand must be changed to be more accommodating to young adults instead of just professionals and parents. To show this, the new canon would be dressed a lot more casually, in jeans and a hoodie, with a lower end camera to record various common age 15-25 events, such as sports games and taking photographs with friends in various places. Is far more sociable than the previous canon, and is more of a city person than an outside/nature one.
2.Current brand personality
Canon can be pictured as a professional photographer type, wearing the professional field attire: fancy trench coat and jeans. Probably has a fedora or other hat, and excessive amounts of top of the line camera equipment. Has expensive but unattractive glasses. His height is a bit above average. His hobbies are, of course, photography, and photo editing. Enjoys nature and the outside. Has a professional network, but no friends. Is knowledgeable
but boring to talk to.
1.Rationale
I think that my current company needs a rebrand because it is currently not selling very well to one of their biggest target markets:young adults. It does not currently appeal very well to teenagers and college/university students because the brand is viewed mostly as a professional company and does not have a "cool" factor. Although professional photographers use their products, and maybe some older people like parents use it, a large age group is untouched, which if Canon catered more to, their company would see far larger revenues.
